The Army Knowledge Awards (AKA) Program, sponsored by the Army Chief Information Office, provides recognition for outstanding examples of initiatives that exploit knowledge management tools and promote Army-wide knowledge sharing. These initiatives might be enhanced collaborative processes that improve warfighter or organizational decision-making, learning, and development. Alternatively, they might incorporate technology and re-engineering to achieve process transformation, such as improving operational effectiveness and the flow of products, services, and knowledge to the user in a real time, critical method. These enterprise solutions are applicable at the MACOM, functional community, or Army level.
