How do I know if I'm in CP16?

The CP16 Engineers and Scientists (Non-Construction) Career Program is comprised of all Army civilian engineers and scientists working in acquisition and acquisition-related fields. Career program members perform research, develop equipment for fielding, provide technical support to all phases of contracting, and continue to support the Army's equipment throughout its life cycle.

The CP18 Engineers and Scientists (Resources and Construction) Career Program is involved with planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance, and repair of military facilities; cartography and geodesy; and in planning, design, construction operation and maintenance of civil works projects; and management of land, water, and related natural resources for public purposes and research in such fields.

Where can I find information about intern programs?

AMC's Career Intern Program is designed to prepare employees in various occupations for subsequent advancement in professional, administrative, and technological career fields. Intern graduates form the feeder group for future leaders in the Army's professional occupations.

Interns enter the program at the GS-5 and GS-7 levels as permanent full-time employees. They receive career/career-conditional appointments in the competitive service and reside on student detachment spaces for the first 24 months. Upon graduation from the program, interns are placed on mission rolls in journey level GS-9 or GS-11 positions.

Why are some of the Awards Applications out of date?

Each organization sponsoring an award has its own application form and due date. When a new application form becomes available, we post it to the CP16 site. Individuals can review previous forms in order to determine whether someone with whom they work would be a good candidate for an award.
